Working From A Hotel Lobby For The Day? It's Great

As I sit in a local hotel lobby, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of excitement. I had always dreamed of being able to work from anywhere in the world, and now here I was, in a luxurious hotel in the heart of a bustling city – Newcastle upon Tyne, with the freedom to work on my own terms.

I have been used to working from my home office, with all of my familiar tools and supplies at my fingertips. But now, I had to get creative and make do with what I had.

I set up my laptop at a table in the corner of the hotel, plugged in my headphones to block out any background noise, and settled in for a long day of work.

As the days passed, I began to feel more and more at home in my temporary office.

I discovered a great coffee shop just down the street, where I could work in the morning and treat myself to a latte. I found a quiet park nearby, where I could take a break and get some fresh air. And I even made friends with some of the hotel staff, who were always happy to chat and offer recommendations for local restaurants and attractions.

But the best part of working from a hotel was the sense of adventure and freedom it gave me. I wasn’t tied down to a specific location, and I could choose to work from anywhere in the world. I had the opportunity to explore new cities, try new things, and experience new cultures. It was a truly liberating feeling.

As my stay came to an end and I packed up my things to head home, I knew that I had gained so much more than just a change of scenery. I had gained a new perspective on work, and a renewed sense of purpose and creativity. And I knew that I would always cherish the memories of my time working from a hotel.

4 Tips on working from a Hotel:

Look for a hotel that offers fast and reliable Wi-Fi, as well as a quiet and comfortable workspace.

Some hotels even have dedicated co-working spaces or business centers, which can be a great option if you need a more professional setting.

Working from a hotel can be a bit disorienting, especially if you are in a new city or time zone. To help maintain a sense of normalcy, try to establish a routine as much as possible.

Stick to your regular work schedule, take breaks at the same times, and try to maintain a healthy work-life balance by setting boundaries for yourself.

Working from a hotel can be a bit isolating, so it’s important to stay connected to your team and colleagues.

Use tools like video conferencing, messaging apps, and project management software to stay in touch and ensure that you are able to collaborate effectively.

While it’s important to stay focused on your work, don’t forget to take advantage of your unique surroundings.

Depending on where you are staying, you may be able to find great local restaurants, attractions, or outdoor spaces to explore during your breaks or after work.

Using a Hotel lobby as office space?

If you’re someone who frequently travels for work, or if you’re just looking for a change of scenery, a hotel lobby office space can be a great option. Many hotels now offer dedicated workstations or business centers that provide a quiet and professional environment for you to get things done.

One of the benefits of using a hotel lobby office space is that it’s typically much easier to find a quiet place to work compared to a crowded coffee shop or noisy coworking space. Hotel lobbies are generally more peaceful and offer a more professional atmosphere, which can help you stay focused and productive.

In addition to providing a quiet and comfortable place to work, many hotel lobby office spaces also offer amenities like high-speed internet, printing services, and access to conference rooms. This can be especially useful if you need to hold a video call or meet with clients while you’re on the go.

Overall, using a hotel lobby office space can be a great option if you’re looking for a convenient and professional place to work while you’re traveling. Just be sure to check with the hotel to find out what amenities and services are available before you book your stay.
